Meredith Broussard is an associate professor of journalism and research director of the Alliance for Public Interest Technology at New York University. Before entering academia, Broussard was a software developer for AT&T Bell Laboratories and the MIT Media Lab, and a features editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Her writings include her award-winning book, Artificial Unintelligence: How Computers Misunderstand the World (MIT Press, 2019) and her latest tome, More Than a Glitch: Confronting Race, Gender and Ability Bias in Tech (MIT Press, 2023). Cosmopolitan lists More Than a Glitch as one of the best new nonfiction books of 2023.
